Arctic Glo Nectarine
Prunus persica 'Arctic Glo'
Arctic Glo Nectarine on Standard (Peach) root - Extra Large 5/8" up caliper grade
- Summary
- Hardiness Zone & More
Arctic Glo nectarine is an very early maturing variety with a white, semi-cling flesh. It has a bright red skin. The tree is vigorous and highly productive. Arctic Glo ripens about a week before Redhaven peach time.
Arctic Glo nectarine was introduced around 1992 from the famous Zaiger breeding program in California. It has been well tested under Eastern growing conditions and performs well.
Nectarines are self-fertile and can be planted by themselves. Treat a nectarine just like peaches when growing. Thin early and agressively for good size. Prune every year to maintain vigor. You should seek to get between 1-3 feet of new growth a year. Over, 3 feet and you are probably fertilizing too much..
