Early Golden is one of the earliest japanese plums, ripening a couple weeks before Shiro.  The fruit is medium sized, golden with a red blush.  The fruit is freestone and of fair quality.  The tree is a vigorous, heavy, consistent producer.

Introduced in 1946.

Early Golden is a good, strong hardy tree.  It should cross-pollinate with other Japanese plums for the best crops.
